At BENCHMARC Driver Training we specialise in driving lessons for the neurodiverse. Over the years I have learnt many skills & techniques that will help you become an AMAZING driver and help you manage your disempowering triggers. I want to share these skills with you and not only help you drive to THRIVE. But to also transfer these skills into your life outside the car, so you can Thrive and feel ALIVE!
In a driving lesson with me, you can expect a flexible, tailored & fun approach designed to suit your learning style. To begin with it’s just getting to know each other, we don’t even have to talk about driving if you like. My goal is to create a no-pressure, judgment-free & enjoyable environment where you feel comfortable and in control. I’ll ensure you have all the knowledge and confidence needed to operate the vehicle safely, helping you work towards the freedom and independence that driving will bring you.
For your driving lesson, first and foremost, bring yourself and arrive on time. You must have your provisional driving licence with you—it’s a legal requirement. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a spare pair if needed, as the right footwear is crucial. Dress appropriately for the weather; avoid bulky coats. If you wear glasses, bring them for the required eyesight test at the beginning of your first lesson and before you start your driving test. Also, bring any necessary medication and inform me in advance so I can assist if needed.

I chose the Toyota C-HR for driving instruction because it’s the car I trained in while becoming an instructor. I promised myself that once I could invest in it, I would—so my students could experience the same confidence and excitement I felt. This car helps me fulfill my mission of empowering others with the freedom and independence that driving brings, allowing them to go wherever they want, whenever they want, with whomever they choose.
My car is fitted with a He-Man Dual Brake. As it’s an automatic there is no need for a dual Clutch. However the biggest dual control I have is my mouth!
